A rapper and producer born in Salvador, Bahia, he now lives in São Paulo. The story starts in 2009, in the rap battles on the Meia Praia boardwalk in Itapema, Santa Catarina, where he made his first beats. From 2012, in Florianópolis, he began producing and singing for local artists. There he built his own studio and set up Puressência, a production house and label covering production, recording and artist development. As Amozz, he released the Fatos EP with Preto Dimi in 2019 and featured on Yves Saint Laurent by 2.2 and Gok 2.2 in 2021. In 2023 he was the voice on Da Da On by Ali Love & Prince Andre, released by Hot Creations on 10 February under catalogue number HOTC204, on 12" vinyl and digital: Portuguese rhymes over a hip house groove with samba-inspired percussion, in original and dub versions, recorded in Florianópolis and Bahia; the label described it as Brazilian hip house. During the campaign the track was played on BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong, and on Defected Radio, KISS FM, m2o, SLAM FM and Polskie Radio, with feedback from Groove Armada, Gorgon City, Riva Starr, Pirupa, Baum and Yousef. The premiere ran on Data Transmission, in the UK. The sound is Portuguese-language rap over club grooves: analogue warmth, live percussion, with congas, shakers and rimshots, and a centred low end. The tension comes from subtraction, not the drop. In 2025, Prince Andre was heard in 101 countries on Spotify, led by the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Italy and Spain, and Da Da On added 16.5k streams that year. Today he is the house artist at Puressência, whose creative studio, A.MOTION, makes films, 3D and brand systems. In the works: the album Transmutação, Portuguese-language rap and storytelling; To The Club Under The Clouds, his electronic side; and the follow-up to Fatos. Live, he performs a stripped-back vocal set, TV and livestream performances, and a club DJ/live set. — Email: contatopuressencia@gmail.com Listen Da Da On: lnk.to/HOTC204 · Apple Music: music.apple.com/br/album/da-da-on-single/1679115830 Instagram: @djprinceandre A Puressência campaign · Powered by A.MOTION
